Leather that
learns your life,
stitch by stitch.

Every bag leaving our Seeb workshop is cut, dyed and hand-stitched to order — full-grain hides, brass hardware, and a saddle stitch built to outlast the trend cycle.

Our Craft

Built on a workbench, not a production line.

Kabayan means "fellow countryman" — and that's the feeling we build into every bag: familiar, dependable, made by hand. Hides are sourced, hand-cut using paper patterns, skived at the edges, and joined with a two-needle saddle stitch that won't unravel even if a single thread breaks.

No two grains are identical, so no two bags are either. We keep runs small on purpose — small enough that the person who cuts your bag is the same person who hands it to you.

  • Full-grain hide, vegetable and chrome-tanned options
  • Hand-cut, hand-stitched — no assembly line
  • Solid brass hardware, aged to darken with use
  • Custom monogramming & made-to-order sizing

The Collection

Four things we make exceptionally well.

Everything is available off the shelf at the workshop, or made to your measurements — ask in store about custom colours and monogramming.

How It's Made

From hide to hand-off.

The same four steps, whether it's a wallet or a weekend bag.

01

Select the hide

Grain, thickness and colour are matched to what the piece needs to do.

02

Cut & skive

Pattern-cut by hand, edges thinned so seams sit flat, not bulky.

03

Saddle stitch

Two needles, one thread, hand-pulled tight through every hole.

04

Finish & burnish

Edges are burnished smooth, hardware set, and the piece is inspected.
